I am Singaporean. Born and raised in the heartlands. Milled through our much esteemed education system.
I currently most of my time in Berlin. Having also lived short periods in Dubai and the US, I enjoyed acquiring the “worldly” perspective. Yet, I’m increasingly more convinced of the importance of an ‘earthly’ mindset. In our pursuit of knowing, doing and having more, we’ve bought, consumed and wasted more.
Where is the beauty in a world more explored if it means an earth more exploited? What are the merits in a world more globalised if it means an earth more vandalised?
I am no hardcore tree-hugger. I am no vegan. Zero-waste is still a journey. But I wish to do more and make it fun for everyone.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.
